My art dwells somewhere between the abstract and figurative. Intense, fleeting moments that reflect my environment and emotional state at the time. My artworks are urgent and possibly a little angst but always considered.
I love the vibrancy and immediacy of soft pastels and they inform the way I work with with oil paints. I use colour and mark making to convey energy, build on an idea or sell a metaphor. My goal is to provoke an emotional response. I want my art to feel alive and worthy of further exploration. To mimic some thrilling, intoxicating and slightly dangerous fairground ride.

I've spent my entire working life drawing, painting, writing and art directing visual ideas, including award winning short films. Art is my nucleus. The place where I'm happiest and most frustrated.
